1.2 Some of DAMA’s Recent Exploration Projects

Aladag (Adana, Southern Turkey) Chromite Exploration Project.


DAMA carried out 1/1000 scale topographical and geological mapping of 1.4 km 2 area and prepared a drilling program of 7000 m from 40 locations based on the geological results. Drilling program was completed under DAMA supervision.
From the outcome of the drillings DAMA carried out a resource estimation study and made technological tests, and designed a new plant.
Project value: $US 1.2M exploration and $10M plant.

 

Hazine Magara (Gümüshane, North Eastern Turkey) Gold-Silver-Zinc-Lead-Copper Exploration Project.


DAMA revised the existing geological maps, re-evaluated geochemical, geophysics data and drilling results and re-evaluated exploration potential of the prospect. Results were found to be encouraging, there after an exploration program was designed.
Continuously evaluating drilling results and revising geology, to delineate the ore body in the central part of the prospect, DAMA carried out 11545 m drillings and carried out a resource estimation study. At present, technological tests are continuing in a certified laboratory and the company is making preparations towards mining the deposits.
